We are happy to announce that Pessl Instruments and Ris Iberia from Spain will be creating a joint venture to expand business in all agricultural verticals and answer to the demands of a fast growing Spanish agricultural sector.

METOS Iberia aims to lead the digital transformation of the agriculture sector thanks to IoT technology that connects sensors in the air, soil and crops with the cloud in real time. The purpose of the joint venture will be to help Spanish farmers adopt the latest technologies in a holistic way, making a global integration.

The Internet of Things, or as many people already call it, Internet of Everything also has its application for agriculture and it is that support in the decision-making of farmers has become key due to the water restrictions, climate change and the reduction of margins in the commercial chain.

Pessl has been active in Spain for the last 15 years and has more than 500 customers in the grape, citrus, citrus, berries and irrigation market.
