CITY CLIMATE
Pessl Instruments is providing hardware for meteoblue’s city climate project. The system enables cities to develop an affordable infrastructure to precise measure, forecast, and model their city climate within less than a year. This creates a reliable information basis for the city planners, decision-makers, and citizens.
FLOOD WARNING
When the river level rises to a pre-set threshold, the METOS® station sends SMS warnings to the user. Thanks to the long battery life and reliable communication in extreme weather conditions, prevention, mitigation and flooding control are in your hands.
STADIUMS
The most modern stadium in Latin America, which has received more than 4 million fans since its opening, is now even more efficient than before. METOS® Brasil, a subsidiary of Pessl Instruments, installed a weather station to monitor climate in Allianz Parque arena with absolute precision.
GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION
The lack of good golf course irrigation can easily affect the quality of play, therefore, weather stations present an important aspect of the maintenance process on golf courses. With soil moisture levels and localised weather forecasts, you can avoid over and under irrigation and resource losses. METOS® stations can be applied for indoor and rooftop gardening. They help with fully automatic smart irrigation and fertigation management, can start intelligent misting when air is too dry, and with the help of high-resolution cameras supported with AI software alert you when the plant protection or weeding is needed.

Real-time and localised weather data can also be used to ensure building safety – to offer cooling and ventilation control for example. Another important aspect to measure is snow depth on the flat rooftops of big facilities such as supermarkets. Data that Pessl Instruments Ultrasonic depth sensor gathers is analyzed in FieldClimate and with this information at hand, the building manager can act before the excess snow becomes too heavy and fractures or damages the roof completely.
