New distribution partnership that focuses on solutions that optimize spray deposition efficiency.
Pessl Instruments GmbH and DropSight step into strategic distribution partnership
Weiz, Austria, April 11th, 2023 – Pessl Instruments GmbH and DropSight announce entering into a strategic distribution partnership to offer solutions that optimize spray deposition efficiency for farmers around the world. Both parties aim to improve crop yield, reduce environmental impact and increase the profitability of farming activities.
By combining Pessl Instruments’ extensive portfolio of solutions for precision agriculture, their knowledge base and constant development combined with DropSight’s innovative technology, farmers will have access to a comprehensive set of various solutions that will enable them to achieve optimal spray deposition efficiency.
Pessl Instruments quickly recognised the potential of DropSight’s solution which combines a smartphone application, Leaflab and UView. About DropSight
DROPSIGHT is a very young technology start-up company in the e-agricultural environment. In February 2021 Marius Ras and Cobus Meyer, Mechanical and Electronic Engineers, did a proof of concept of what has been patented (#2022/02473), developed and commercialized as DROPSIGHT® technology today.
For the first time ever, it was now possible to measure the quantity of deposition of a formulation on natural surfaces, evaluate the quality of the distribution and calculate the uniformity thereof. This is the game changing technology that will optimize the use of pesticides and reduce the risk of environmental contamination by using it in the field as a tool to evaluate and improve your sprayer set up before you add the chemical to the tank – exactly what is required to support the EU GREEN DEAL.
The development of the export market is our focus and priority – and finding a preferred partnership in PESSL/METOS to reach our customers globally is a milestone to be celebrated!
