If you’ve ever wondered whether your spray is reaching the bottom leaves of your crop or if wind is carrying it away, DropSight^® gives you the data to know for sure.

PREZENTARE GENERALĂ

When you spray your crops, the droplets don’t always land exactly the way they come out of the nozzle. What DropSight^® measures is how the spray actually settles on the leaves.

DropSight® is also portable, inexpensive, and very easy to use. It consists of the DropSight^® app, downloaded to a smartphone, and used in combination with LEAFLAB and UVIEW to process photos and data.

NEW FEATURE: DROPLET SIZE DISTRIBUTION

Now DropSight^® has a new function, DSD – Droplet Size Distribution. With DSD you can now measure not just where your spray lands but also the size of the droplets reaching your crops. It makes it easier to measure and improve spray deposition, and helps you to fine-tune sprayer settings, improve coverage, and avoid waste and money loss.

Collect the leaves – Choose leaves with minimal droplet merging for the most accurate results.
Use the DropSight^® aplicație – Take photos with the LeafLab, apply the DSD template, and set the threshold.
Generate the report – Instantly receive a PDF showing how well your spray is working.

BENEFITS

Spraying is not as straightforward as it seems. When many droplets land close together, they can merge into bigger ones, making it appear as if the spray had larger droplets from the start. On the other hand, if the spray hits the leaves too fast, droplets can break apart or streak, creating uneven coverage.

If you’re using DropSight^® to check your spray quality, remember that it shows what happens after the spray lands, not necessarily what comes straight out of the nozzle. If the results seem off, it doesn’t always mean there’s an issue with your sprayer. It could be influenced by factors such as nozzle type, spray pressure, or how fast you’re moving. A well-tuned setup ensures proper coverage and effectiveness.
