Esta neve ajudar\u00e1 a humedecer o solo para as \"flores ou colheitas\", ou perder-se-\u00e1 por escoamento, evapora\u00e7\u00e3o ou sublima\u00e7\u00e3o?<\/p><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-sm-6\"><p>H\u00e1 duas formas de perder \u00e1gua para a atmosfera. Uma que provavelmente conhece \u00e9\u00a0<strong>evapora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>Quando a \u00e1gua l\u00edquida absorve energia suficiente do sol, transforma-se num g\u00e1s chamado vapor de \u00e1gua e perde-se na atmosfera.<\/p><p>Uma delas, com a qual provavelmente n\u00e3o est\u00e1 t\u00e3o familiarizado, chama-se\u00a0<strong>sublima\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>que \u00e9 o processo em que a neve \u00e9 convertida directamente em vapor de g\u00e1s sem passar pela fase l\u00edquida. Isto acontece quando a neve absorve a energia directa do sol, embora a temperatura possa ser inferior a zero.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>O que faz um bom dia para perdas elevadas por sublima\u00e7\u00e3o?<\/h3><p>Obviamente, os dias de c\u00e9u limpo e brilhante, com elevada radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar, favorecem as perdas por sublima\u00e7\u00e3o, mas ser\u00e1 que outros factores meteorol\u00f3gicos contribuem? Da mesma forma que os dias de ar seco e os ventos conduzem a taxas de evapora\u00e7\u00e3o mais elevadas, tamb\u00e9m afectam as taxas de sublima\u00e7\u00e3o. Se a humidade relativa for baixa e os ventos forem fortes, a perda por sublima\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 maior. Mas, de um modo geral, \u00e9 a radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar num determinado dia que realmente conduz o processo.<\/p><p>Devemos lembrar que, nas latitudes setentrionais, em meados ou finais de Abril, a quantidade de energia solar recebida pelo sol num dia de sol \u00e9 equivalente ao in\u00edcio de Agosto. Sim, pode ser dif\u00edcil de acreditar, mas a radia\u00e7\u00e3o solar em Abril \u00e9 semelhante \u00e0 de Agosto.<\/p><p>Em 18 de Abril de 2022,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metos.global\/pt\/imetos33\/\">iMETOS 3.3 esta\u00e7\u00e3o meteorol\u00f3gica<\/a>\u00a0(instalado em Abril de 2018, Canad\u00e1) estava a receber 923 watts\/m2 num dia de sol perfeitamente claro. Isto \u00e9 cerca de um m\u00eas ap\u00f3s o equin\u00f3cio da Primavera. Numa semana, isto significa que podemos perder 14 a 28 mm de neve directamente para a sublima\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><h3>O que \u00e9 que isto significa?<\/h3><p>Num ano em que n\u00e3o se disp\u00f5e de muita humidade superficial armazenada no solo para a planta\u00e7\u00e3o, cada mm conta, pelo que as perdas por sublima\u00e7\u00e3o, evapora\u00e7\u00e3o e escoamento superficial podem desempenhar um papel significativo no balan\u00e7o h\u00eddrico de qualquer local. \u00c9 importante notar que a humidade do solo \u00e9 muito parecida com uma ch\u00e1vena de caf\u00e9. Gostamos que essa ch\u00e1vena esteja cheia no in\u00edcio da Primavera, para que haja muita \u00e1gua no perfil do solo para o desenvolvimento das culturas.<\/p><p>O melhor local para a recarga, em condi\u00e7\u00f5es de precipita\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 no Outono, quando as culturas j\u00e1 foram colhidas e as taxas de evapora\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o baixas, pelo que h\u00e1 pouca procura de humidade no solo. Desta forma, sabemos quanto temos na ch\u00e1vena de caf\u00e9 para a pr\u00f3xima Primavera.
