Patogen grzybowy infekuje wszystkie stadia rozwojowe ro\u015blin: li\u015bcie, p\u0105ki, ga\u0142\u0105zki i \u0142odygi. Nowe p\u0119dy i li\u015bcie mog\u0105 ulec pora\u017ceniu wiosn\u0105. Ga\u0142\u0105zki ulegaj\u0105 infekcji poprzez przeniesienie zarodnik\u00f3w z zainfekowanych p\u0105k\u00f3w. Na m\u0142odych p\u0119dach rozwijaj\u0105 si\u0119 ciemnobr\u0105zowe, rakowate zmiany z cia\u0142ami owoc\u00f3w.<\/p><h3>Cykl chorobowy<\/h3><p>Patogen grzybowy zimuje w ga\u0142\u0105zkach i p\u0105kach kwiatowych, ostrogach i zawi\u0105zkach. Wiosn\u0105 grzyb wytwarza zarodniki, kt\u00f3re s\u0105 rozpraszane przez deszcz, nawadnianie i rozpryski wody. Do infekcji dochodzi przy optimum temperaturowym 12- 27\u00b0C i okresie zwil\u017cenia li\u015bci powy\u017cej 12 godzin. Owoce mog\u0105 by\u0107 zaka\u017cone w ka\u017cdym momencie, cho\u0107 infekcje s\u0105 widoczne (objawy widoczne) dopiero w dojrza\u0142ych owocach. Grzyb wnika do wn\u0119trza owocu i pozostaje w stanie u\u015bpienia do momentu, gdy jagoda zaczyna dojrzewa\u0107.
