Questa neve aiuter\u00e0 l'umidit\u00e0 del suolo per i \"fiori o le colture\", oppure andr\u00e0 persa per dilavamento, evaporazione o sublimazione?<\/p><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-sm-6\"><p>Ci sono due modi in cui l'acqua pu\u00f2 essere dispersa nell'atmosfera. Uno che probabilmente conoscete \u00e8\u00a0<strong>evaporazione<\/strong>Quando l'acqua liquida assorbe una quantit\u00e0 sufficiente di energia dal sole, si trasforma in un gas chiamato vapore acqueo e si disperde nell'atmosfera.<\/p><p>Uno di questi, che probabilmente non conoscete bene, si chiama\u00a0<strong>sublimazione<\/strong>che \u00e8 il processo in cui la neve viene convertita direttamente in vapore gassoso senza passare per la fase liquida. Questo avviene quando la neve assorbe energia diretta dal sole, anche se la temperatura pu\u00f2 essere inferiore allo zero.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>Cosa rende una giornata buona per le perdite da sublimazione?<\/h3><p>Ovviamente, le giornate con cielo limpido e luminoso, con un'elevata radiazione solare, favoriscono le perdite per sublimazione, ma anche altri fattori meteorologici contribuiscono? Cos\u00ec come le giornate con aria secca e i venti determinano tassi di evaporazione pi\u00f9 elevati, essi influiscono anche sui tassi di sublimazione. Se l'umidit\u00e0 relativa \u00e8 bassa e i venti sono forti, la perdita per sublimazione sar\u00e0 maggiore. Ma in generale, \u00e8 la radiazione solare in un determinato giorno che guida il processo.<\/p><p>Dobbiamo ricordare che alle latitudini settentrionali, a met\u00e0 o alla fine di aprile la quantit\u00e0 di energia solare ricevuta dal sole in una giornata di sole \u00e8 equivalente a quella dei primi di agosto. S\u00ec, pu\u00f2 essere difficile da credere, ma la radiazione solare in aprile \u00e8 simile a quella di agosto.<\/p><p>Il 18 aprile 2022,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/metos.global\/it\/imetos33\/\">Stazione meteo iMETOS 3.3<\/a>\u00a0(installato nell'aprile 2018, in Canada) riceveva 923 watt\/m2 in una giornata di sole perfettamente serena. Questo \u00e8 all'incirca un mese dopo l'equinozio di primavera. Alcune ricerche suggeriscono che, in condizioni ideali, questo valore pu\u00f2 raggiungere i 2-4 mm al giorno. In una settimana, ci\u00f2 significa che potremmo perdere da 14 a 28 mm di manto nevoso direttamente per sublimazione.<\/p><h3>Che cosa significa?<\/h3><p>In un anno in cui non si dispone di molta umidit\u00e0 superficiale del suolo per le piante, ogni mm conta, quindi le perdite per sublimazione, evaporazione e ruscellamento possono giocare un ruolo significativo nel bilancio idrico di qualsiasi luogo. \u00c8 importante notare che l'umidit\u00e0 del suolo \u00e8 come una tazza di caff\u00e8. Ci piace che la tazza sia piena all'inizio della primavera, in modo da avere molta acqua nel profilo del terreno per lo sviluppo delle colture.<\/p><p>Il luogo migliore per la ricarica, in condizioni di alimentazione a pioggia, \u00e8 l'autunno, quando le colture sono state raccolte e i tassi di evaporazione sono bassi, quindi c'\u00e8 poca richiesta di umidit\u00e0 del suolo. In questo modo sappiamo quanto c'\u00e8 nella tazza di caff\u00e8 per la prossima primavera.
