Le vacche da latte e i bovini da foraggio con razioni ad alto contenuto di cereali hanno una LCT molto bassa (da -30\u00b0C a -45\u00b0C) a causa dell'assunzione di mangime di alta qualit\u00e0 e del tasso metabolico. L'LCT per le vacche da carne gravide, le vacche da latte asciutte e i vitelli in crescita, in buone condizioni corporee, \u00e8 compresa tra -10\u00b0C e -25\u00b0C. I vitelli giovani, dalla nascita a 3 settimane di et\u00e0, hanno una LCT di +13\u00b0C. I vitelli da latte da 3 settimane allo svezzamento hanno una LCT di +1\u00b0C.<\/p><p>Con le temperature pi\u00f9 fredde e le velocit\u00e0 del vento pi\u00f9 elevate, \u00e8 necessario aumentare le razioni di mangime e i ripari.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>SOLUZIONE IoT: Stazione meteo IMT 3.3 In-Feedlot e previsioni meteo specifiche del sito<\/h3><ul><li>Monitorare le temperature e aumentare l'alimentazione in risposta al freddo. Osservare i valori di temperatura\/windchill e aumentare l'alimentazione in risposta al freddo.<\/li><li>Proteggere gli animali dal vento e da valori elevati di windchill. Il vento pu\u00f2 ridurre sensibilmente la temperatura critica inferiore dei bovini, aumentando lo stress da freddo sugli animali, riducendo il peso e la capacit\u00e0 di carico.<br \/>salute.<\/li><li>Sistemare bene il bestiame. Fornire una lettiera asciutta sufficiente, con un riparo, fa una grande differenza nella capacit\u00e0 del bestiame di resistere allo stress da freddo.<\/li><li>Se possibile, mantenere il bestiame pulito e asciutto. I mantelli bagnati (pioggia, nevischio, neve) hanno propriet\u00e0 isolanti molto ridotte e rendono i bovini pi\u00f9 suscettibili allo stress da freddo, attraverso temperature critiche pi\u00f9 basse.<\/li><li>Fornire mangime supplementare se le temperature sono inferiori alla temperatura critica inferiore. Somministrare pi\u00f9 fieno e\/o cereali. Se si somministrano mangimi umidi, accertarsi che siano scongelati.<\/li><li>Assicuratevi che le bovine abbiano sempre a disposizione acqua in abbondanza. La limitazione dell'acqua limita l'assunzione di mangime e rende difficile per le bovine soddisfare il loro fabbisogno energetico. Il congelamento degli abbeveratoi e l'acqua troppo fredda influiscono sull'assunzione di acqua.<\/li><\/ul><h3>\u00a0<\/h3><h3>Testimonianza del coltivatore<\/h3><p>Conoscere le temperature e le velocit\u00e0 del vento specifiche del sito ci permette di essere proattivi per quanto riguarda il benessere degli animali, ridurre i costi e migliorare l'efficienza della produzione.<\/p><p>Abbiamo speso circa $4.000 per la nostra soluzione meteo iMETOS IoT e abbiamo guadagnato grazie al benessere degli animali (salute e peso corretti) e alla riduzione dei costi (quando somministrare il mangime e proteggerlo) grazie alla conoscenza delle reali condizioni meteorologiche della stalla.
