Pendant les journ\u00e9es chaudes et ensoleill\u00e9es, l'absorption de produits chimiques est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que dans des conditions fra\u00eeches et humides. La capacit\u00e9 d'une culture \u00e0 capter la lumi\u00e8re du soleil est fonction de la surface foliaire ou de l'indice de surface foliaire.
